JOB SUMMARY
The Fundraising and Event Planning Coordinator is responsible for the strategic planning and execution of fundraising events and activities under the direction of the VP of Development.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborates with the VP of Development to develop and execute fundraising strategies, including events, campaigns, and activities.
- Assists with the development and management of budgets, ensuring KPIs are monitored and reported.
- Collaborate with VP of Development to establish a robust donor recruitment and stewardship plan.
- Foster relationships with donors.
- Plan and host fundraising events, along with the VP of Development.
- Collaborate with VP of Development to secure event patrons, sponsors, and in-kind donations.
- Communicate with event attendees, donors, and sponsors.
- Work with vendors and contract companies on production of events.
- Develop plans to promote events.
- Coordinate event logistics, timelines, and tasks.
- Oversee production of agency brochures.
- Demonstrates the agency values of compassion, respect, learning, adaptability, and achievement.
- Participates in agency Performance and Quality Improvement initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned by the VP of Development.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree and minimum three years of related experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three or more years of demonstrated experience developing and executing fundraising events.
- Strong written and oral communication skills working in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills, project management skills, and the ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Ability to plan, guide and manage multiple projects, both independently and with other staff members, to achieve project goals on time and within budget.
- Problem-solving, time management and organizational skills; attention to detail.
- Interacts professionally with donors, sponsors and other employees, clients, and stakeholders.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with fundraising software is preferred.
- Ability to foster collaboration and empowering team members to achieve fundraising goals.
