We are seeking an innovative and motivated team player to fill our full-time Child Care Training Specialist position.
This 35 to 40 hour per week position is eligible for health, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement plan, as well as flexible scheduling, a generous personal leave time package and paid holidays. We are looking for someone with experience in a child care setting, who’s passionate about the professional development of early childhood educators, and embraces a strength-based approach in their work.
Principle duties include:
- Planning, developing and facilitating trainings for child care providers
- Conducting data collection on educational offerings
- Providing related technical assistance
- General department administration
This position will require regular evening work (4 to 6 evenings/month) and occasional weekend hours, but we offer the flexibility to schedule those shifts around your life!
Minimum qualifications:
- Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (Registry Level 13 required)
- At least 2 years of experience working directly with children
- Knowledge of child care regulations and best practice
- Ability to develop productive and collaborative relationships
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Current driver’s license, proof of adequate car insurance, and access to reliable transportation.
Preferred candidates will have:
- Experience facilitating trainings/classes for adult learners
- Completion of Wisconsin’s Training and Technical Assistance Professional (T-TAP) course a plus!
Physical requirements; ability to lift objects up to 40 pounds, ability to operate a computer for extended periods of time (2-3) hours and ability to sit for up to 6-8 hours.
