Position Summary
The Park Country Club of Buffalo is seeking a skilled PM Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be passionate, reliable, and able to work flexible shifts.
Job Responsibilities:
- Organize and set up kitchen station to ensure efficient service.
- Prepare food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces according to recipes and standards.
- Cook food items using various methods such as grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking techniques.
- FOLLOW standard recipes for assigned banquet services.
- Maintain cleanliness and adhere to food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and storing it correctly.
- Coordinate and time orders with other kitchen operations to meet deadlines.
- Perform inventory checks and complete food storage logs to ensure accurate tracking.
- Consistently use safe and sanitary food handling practices, including those related to personal hygiene.
- Keep all areas of work, including freezers and refrigerators, clean and organized.
- Set up and stock food items and necessary supplies in a timely manner.
- Operate food production equipment safely and efficiently, including stoves, ovens, mixers, grills, etc.
- Notify the Sous Chef of expected shortages to prevent delays.
- Handle leftover food items as instructed by the Sous Chef.
- Clean assigned work areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Requisition items needed to produce menu items and store leftovers neatly.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2-3 years' experience working in a fast-paced teamwork-oriented kitchen environment.
- Culinary degree or certification preferred but not required.
- Previous experience in fine dining restaurants preferred but not required.
- Ability to work flexible shifts throughout the week.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality results.
- Passion for food and creativity.
- Strict adherence to safety and sanitation practices.
- Physical ability to stand, reach, climb stairs, walk, lift up to 30 lbs, and perform other physical demands outlined below.
