What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Room Set up Crew (5pm-5am availability) position at The Park Event Center?
Setup Person/Housemen is responsible for completing all setups and final breakdown of functions according to the Banquet Event Order.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Setting meeting room sets, including classroom, u-shape, theatre set, dining sets, and reception sets
- Cleaning and detailing the room, and cleaning and returning equipment to its proper location
- Set up, stock, and maintain work areas
- Set up and break down of all events
- Take care of banquet equipment and storage areas
- To perform all assigned side work
- Transport dirty linen to correct area to be cleaned
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures
- Communicate and work closely with Managers, Servers, Bartenders and various Vendors to ensure a high level of service and seamless event transitions
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, days, weekends and holidays
Qualifications:
- Previous Banquet Setup preferred
- Excellent listening skills
- Ability to follow directions
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs
- Dependability and Accountability and Ability to work independently are all must have's
