What are the responsibilities and job description for the Advertising Sales Account Executive position at The Park Record Newspaper?
The Park Record is looking for a polished professional advertising sales executive who can hit the ground running. Ideal candidates will have magazine, newspaper, and/or digital ad sales experience, be willing to learn, and be able to sell multi-media and cross-platform. Our clientele is a mix of national brands, well-established local businesses, and mom-and-pop shops.
Our current product mix is a rapidly growing newspaper that publishes twice a week in print and digital formats, a suite of magazines that publish monthly, quarterly, bi-annually, and annually across a wide variety of topics, a website with tremendous monthly reach, daily and weekly newsletters, signature events, and a full programmatic digital suite. The company is also planning on adding new products (print and digital) in the coming year. This is a fairly fast-paced sales environment with multiple projects going on all the time. If you can function well in a busy newsroom and bi-weekly deadlines, you'd fit right in.

Key Account Executive Responsibilities
- Create new business opportunities through personal selling activities and great networking.
- Thoroughly qualify new opportunities to determine whether prospects have good potential for Park Record Newspaper, multiple magazines, and custom publication projects.
- Manage relationships throughout the entire sales cycle, from initial contact through execution of the client campaign and reporting
- Develop creative campaigns/proposals to help clients achieve their business & marketing goals
- Consistently win new business and achieve personal revenue goals
- Expand and maintain existing client relationships
Requirements, Experience, and Attributes of Ideal Candidates
- 3 years of advertising sales experience in a news media or magazine environment
- 3 years of digital advertising and programmatic sales experience
- Very strong prospecting skills. Committed to consistent daily selling behaviors
- Strong Cold Calling and email skills
- Ability to get in front of high-level decision-makers
- Ability to work both independently and as a team player
- Exceptional organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
- Excellent presentation skills
- Well-versed in common business software systems such as Office, and Google Suite, and the ability to learn new systems quickly and accurately.
- Ability to sell multiple products and present big ideas
- Loyal, honest, high-energy, driven, strong work ethic, good sense of humor
- Lives in or near Park City, Utah
