The Director of Enrichment is a member of the school’s After-School program and reports to the Director of After-School Operations. This full-time, 10-month position involves c with faculty and staff to lead the Enrichment program in support of the school’s mission and curricular goals. This role also requires a commitment of 10 workdays during the summer.

Responsibilities

  • The Director of Enrichment is responsible for developing, managing, and overseeing the school's after-school enrichment programming for students from Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 8
  • Foster a sense of community and set clear expectations for the enrichment program
  • Support student behavioral/emotional concerns, ensuring respectful, safe, and inclusive behaviors in partnership with the Director of After School Operations
  • Create onboarding materials, interview, hire partners and internal teachers, ensure adequate program coverage, and regularly connect with 10-15 enrichment partners/teachers
  • Manage relationships with vendors, distribute contracts, and prepare, create, and facilitate orientation for program teachers, including coaching and support as needed
  • Manage the budget and provide reflective reports to inform program development
  • Collaborate with the Registrar and Assistant Director of Secondary School Counseling by providing detailed content for all program classes for registration management
  • Responsible for enrollment of student registrations, determining accurate enrollment by collaborating with internal team and external partners, and responding to emails on a timely basis
  • Update the enrollment system with accurate lists after lotteries and sectioning
  • Responsible for the program's logistics, collaborating with internal partners to ensure adequate program space for each class
  • Collaborate with the communication team to share programming/registration information with families each term and a yearly overview for the “April Bundle”
  • Create customized placement communications after registration closes
  • Communicate with grade-level and after-school teams about classes and updated registrations for dismissal
  • Address parent questions/emails/feedback for all families in a timely manner
  • Determine offerings/schedule and send deadlines for each term to families
  • Represent the Enrichment Program in meetings and gatherings of other after-school program leads

Qualifications

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree preferred
  • Three (3) or more years of leading a program
  • Strong interpersonal skills with students, colleagues, families, and other adults
  • Strong communication skills, including experience in writing school-related documents
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging in teaching and learning & experience in working in a culturally diverse community
  • Motivation for and interest in professional development
  • Ability to think independently along with collaborating in a team environment
  • High integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Maintain focus and adaptability in an energetic and, at times, loud environment
  • Effectively interpret, navigate, mediate, and resolve conflict with students and families in a timely manner
  • The ability to hold meetings in person and via supported video conference tools (i.e. Zoom or Google Meet)
  • Proficient or the ability to learn Google tools and other applications as adopted by the school, such as Veracross, Atlas, etc

Physical Requirements:

  • The ability to sit and stand uninterrupted for 30-minute periods of time
  • The ability to regularly walk on and travel across variable surfaces (e.g. level flooring, stairs, turf, gravel, asphalt, etc.)
  • The ability to lead, supervise and accompany students to all areas of the school campus (including all indoor and outdoor areas), including during day-to-day responsibilities and in case of emergency
  • The ability to consistently operate a computer. Proficient or the ability to quickly learn Google tools and other school software
  • The ability to regularly stand, sit, crouch, and kneel down in order to support students
  • The ability to work outdoors, year-round, in variable weather conditions
  • The ability to lift and hold 15 lbs overhead
  • The ability to occasionally transport (e.g., move or drag) 25 lbs
  • The ability to maintain focus and composure in an energetic and, at times, loud environment

  • The compensation range for this role is based on a faculty scale ranging from $65,140 to $134,680 annually. Actual salaries will vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to degrees received, years of teaching experience, and other considerations permitted by law. The comprehensive compensation details, inclusive of any additional benefits, will be communicated upon finalization of the employment offer
