Position Description:
We are seeking an energetic and fun Golf Coach to join our Path Team. The Path Golf Coach will serve as the primary golf coach for all Path-related programs, providing instruction on Mondays through Thursdays from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM. This role also includes operating Mobile SNAG (off-site) and other Path-related programs. The ideal candidate will create a welcoming, inclusive, and rewarding environment for students, mainly focusing on at-risk and need-based children with little to no golf experience. The coach needs to embody The Park’s “fun” core value, fostering a culture that encourages engagement and enjoyment in learning the game of golf.
Path Golf Coach Coach Responsibilities:
- Conduct golf lessons for students of all ages and skill levels, with an emphasis on those with little to no experience.
- Collaborate with the PE coach, academic coaches, and other members of the golf coaching team to enhance training and development programs.
- Promote a fun, inclusive, and rewarding environment, ensuring all students feel welcome and valued.
- Operate the Mobile SNAG program and other Path initiatives as needed.
- Attend team meetings and training sessions to continually improve coaching practices.
- Fulfill additional responsibilities as directed by the Director of The Path.
Youth Sports Performance Coach Requirements:
- College graduate preferred
- PGA Member preferred; Level 3 or higher Associate will be considered with experience
- U.S. Kids Golf and/or ADM Certifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Golf Coach.
Compensation:
- $50/hour (for most programs)
- $75-$100/hour (for Mobile SNAG)
- The Park’s part-time employee package includes 401K with company match and playing privileges.
Schedule:
- Fairway Finders (Elementary Afterschool)
- Monday – Thursday, 3:15 PM – 5:45 PM
- Does not meet on school holidays
- Mobile SNAG
- Thursdays or Fridays, 8 AM – 2 PM
- Typically 1-2x a month
- Thursdays or Fridays, 8 AM – 2 PM
