IMPACT - Community & Inclusivity
The Park will ensure that everyone in the surrounding community feels welcome with access to the facility. The Park will remove barriers for beginner golfers while challenging more skilled players. Walking will be encouraged and embraced as part of the fabric of our culture and, as such, our caddie program will be a focal point of the operation.
The Park will “Give Back” by building an expansive Community Programming initiative, engaging nearby youth residents to learn about the benefits of golf while developing life skills. Our Operations, Golf Academy, Culinary experience, and Agronomy will all play a role in supporting the Community Programming of The Park.
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Greenskeeper to join our team in West Palm Beach, WPB. As a Greenskeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the golf course and ensuring its pristine condition. Your primary goal will be to provide an exceptional golfing experience to our members and guests. You will work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant Golf Course Superintendent to ensure that the course is in top shape at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Experience in golf course maintenance or landscaping
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in golf course maintenance or landscaping
- Experience operating and maintaining golf course equipment
- Knowledge of irrigation systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
- Maintain the golf course to the highest standards of appearance and playability
- Operate and maintain golf course equipment, including mowers, tractors, and other machinery
- Perform various manual labor tasks, such as raking bunkers, trimming trees, and cleaning debris
- Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides as needed
- Monitor and maintain irrigation systems
- Assist with construction and renovation projects
- Maintain equipment and tools in proper working order
- Follow safety procedures and regulations
Skills:
As a Greenskeeper, you will utilize your skills in golf course maintenance and landscaping on a daily basis. You will be responsible for ensuring that the golf course is in top condition, which requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to operate and maintain various equipment. Additionally, you will need to communicate effectively with the Golf Course Superintendent and work collaboratively with other members of the team to achieve our goal of providing an exceptional golfing experience to our members and guests.
