POSITION OVERVIEW
Title: Equipment Manager
Reports to: Director of Agronomy
Supervise: Assistant Equipment Manager
Position Description:
The Equipment Manager is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all golf course equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. This role demands a detail-oriented professional with exceptional technical skills and a passion for maintaining high standards. The Equipment Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the overall operation of the golf course, ensuring that all machinery and equipment are in excellent working condition to provide a superior experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Maintenance and Repair
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on all golf course equipment, including mowers, tractors, utility vehicles, and small engines.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
Preventive Maintenance
- Develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule to ensure the longevity and reliability of all equipment.
- Monitor equipment performance and make adjustments as needed to optimize efficiency and safety.
Inventory Management
- Manage inventory of parts and supplies, ensuring that necessary items are always in stock.
- Order parts and supplies as needed, working within budget constraints.
Safety and Compliance
- Ensure that all equipment is operated and maintained in accordance with safety regulations and guidelines.
- Train staff on the proper use and maintenance of equipment to promote a safe working environment.
Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with the Director of Agronomy and Golf Course Superintendent to coordinate maintenance activities and prioritize tasks.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure that all equipment needs are met in a timely manner.
Performance Evaluation & Reporting
- Conduct regular evaluations of equipment performance and maintenance practices to identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare detailed reports on maintenance activities, equipment status, and any issues encountered.
Candidate Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mechanics or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in equipment maintenance and repair, preferably in a golf course or similar environment.
- Strong mechanical and technical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of equipment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse team members.
- Proficiency in using maintenance software and tools.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required by the golf course schedule.
