The Parks Senior Living in Odessa, Texas provides short- and long-term nursing and rehabilitation services to the senior population in our community. The Parks is a 14 acre campus offering a continuum of care : ILF, ALF, and SNF. Speech Therapist Job Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement Speech Therapy plan of care for facility residents and short-term patients. If CFY, SLP clinical supervisor available upon starting.
- Assist as needed with patient screens for Speech Therapy.
- Communicate progress and any barriers toward SLP goals with interdisciplinary team members.
- Complete timely Speech therapy documentation in compliance with regulatory, licensing, facility, and payor requirements.
- Assist with maintaining both the rehab gym equipment and treatment area in a safe manner, using good infection prevention methods.
- Provide and document patient, family, and caregiver training regarding each speech therapy patient’s specific plan of care and recommendations for follow up.
- Maintain productivity standards as expected by Director of Rehab or Administrator.
- Current Texas licensure as a Speech Therapist or Speech Therapy CFY
