Job Summary
The Parodneck Foundation is seeking a talented Bookkeeper to join our team.
The Parodneck Foundation for Self-Help Housing and Community Development, lnc. (the "Foundation") was founded in 1970 as a not-for-profit to provide financial and technical assistance to self-help housing and community development efforts throughout New York City. The Foundation pursues this mission through several program initiatives, substantially all involving the provision of short and long-lerm financing.
Reporting directly to the Executive Director and CFO, the Bookkeeper plays a crucial role in helping to maintain the financial health of the organization and ensuring that financial data is accurate and readily available for decision-making. The Bookkeeper will maintain accurate financial records and ensure the company’s compliance with all legal requirements. Your responsibilities will include recording and verifying transactions, bringing the books to the trial balance stage, and completing tax forms. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and has a strong understanding of best practices in accounting.
This position is Full-Time and On-Site for Monday through Friday 9:00am-5:00pm.

Responsibilities
- Enter financial data and transactions
- Verify the accuracy of transactions that have been entered
- Prepare trial balance
- Analyze budgets and other financial information
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Payroll Processing-ADP
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience as an accountant, bookkeeper, or similar position 3-4 years
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Proficiency in using accounting software. Experience with Quickbooks is a plus.
- Licensure as a Notary Public is a plus.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
Salary : $60,000 - $70,000
