Primary Objective
Assist General Manager in ensuring the smooth operation of the Melt Shop.
Basic function
Supervise and coordinate the activities of employees in the steel pouring process.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-going instruction and training to hourly employees to develop their skills and knowledge of the technical process.
- Prepare employee schedules to meet production needs.
- Maintain inventory items and communicate needs to office.
- Interpret Company policies and direct employees accordingly.
- Enforce safety policies and procedures.
- Analyze and resolve work problems and assist workers in solving their work problems.
- Recommend personnel actions (i.e. promotions and discipline, etc.)
- Complete employee performance reports.
- Maintain time and production records.
