What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Assembler position at The Partners Associates?
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Mechanical assembly of extrusion frames.
- Minimal electro-mechanical assembly using proper grounding techniques.
- Following work instructions, perform repetitive assembly operations.
- Produce quality work to specified time standards.
- Execute in-process checks using visual inspection and check lists.
- Possess an aptitude for cross functional training to reduce takt time.
- Utilize a variety of hand tools such as screw drivers, hex keys, drills, saws, tape measures and fixtures.
- Coordinating with teammates participate in manually integrating large subassemblies to complete a final assembly.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
REQUIREMENTS & ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- High School Education or GED
- Some manufacturing experienced desired
- Proficient in reading drawings and reading and measuring using a tape measure.
- Operate hand pallet jacks to move material within plant.
- Able to lift, squat, bend, reach, and stand as work requires.
- Work involves frequent lifting of materials and product up to 30 pounds. Frequent use of hand tools. Long periods of standing.
