How You Will Make An Impact At TPG
As an Events & Fundraising Intern, you’ll play a hands-on role in planning meaningful events, supporting fundraising efforts, and engaging with donors and sponsors to make a real impact. This internship is a great opportunity to build event coordination skills, gain fundraising experience, and contribute to a mission-driven team!
What a Typical Day In This Role Looks Like
Location: Onsite in our Portland, OR office
Hours: 30 hours/week, Monday-Friday for 10 weeks (approximately); occasional evening hours needed for company events
Start Date: Mid-June 2025 (exact date TBD)
Physical Requirements: Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods, ability to communicate verbally and in writing, as well as lift, pull, and stand as needed for event setup and logistics.
Pay rate: $18/hour on a W2 basis

What a Typical Day In This Role Looks Like
- Event Planning & Execution: Assist in organizing and coordinating fundraising and internal company events, managing logistics, timelines, and vendor communications.
- Fundraising Support: Help develop and implement fundraising campaigns, research potential donors, and prepare materials for donor outreach.
- Donor & Sponsor Engagement: Identify and solicit in-kind donations for silent auctions, encourage peer-to-peer fundraising, and support sponsor relations.
- Administrative Assistance: Maintain donor and event databases, track participation, and support event follow-ups with reports and evaluations.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, volunteers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless event execution and fundraising success.
- Front Desk & Office Support: Provide reception coverage and general office support, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment for visitors and staff.

Requirements
What you’ll bring to the table:
- Working toward a BA/BS degree with a 3.0 GPA, with a degree focus in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field
- Incoming Junior- or Senior- status strongly preferred
- Ability to operate a computer and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- You have a passion for nonprofit work and a commitment to the organization’s mission
- You have previous customer service or administrative work experience
- You have the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
