What are the responsibilities and job description for the Territory Sales Manager position at The Parts Authority?
Reporting directly to the Sales Manager, the Territory Outside Salesperson will be part of a driven team responsible for the acquisition, retention, and growth of our customers, with a primary focus on selling auto body parts, collision parts, and hard parts.
- Make sales calls on installers, auto body shops, fleets, municipalities, and car dealerships to sell auto body parts, collision parts, hard parts, tools, shop equipment, and programs.
- Build and maintain productive, long-lasting relationships with existing customers while actively pursuing new customers.
- Get the Sale!” - Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales goals; source new sales opportunities and close sales to achieve goals.
- Foster and qualify new sales opportunities with new and existing customers.
- Ride with factory reps to gain product knowledge, particularly about auto body parts and collision parts , and use their relationships to help build yours.
- Provide weekly status reports for the management team describing current business conditions, including opportunities and suggestions for improvement. Post daily CMS comments for each sales call with a summary of visit or touch.
- Play a key role in increasing income and revenue by managing and negotiating with clients, generating leads, qualifying prospects, and managing sales of auto body parts, collision parts, and hard parts.
- Research sales competition with a focus on collision and hard parts market trends.
- Other duties as assigned.
