Calling All Foodies!!!

Not afraid to talk to strangers? Enjoy a loud, crazy work environment? This is your job! We are looking for fun energetic people to sell pasta at Pappardelle's Pasta in Pike Place Market! You should be fast-paced, customer-focused, able to laugh, and have a great time with our dynamic team. Retail, customer service, and sales experience preferred, though we can train anyone who wants to learn. We are hiring full-time/part-time employees to start immediately and to work with us at least through August 2025. Ideally, we would like to hire a candidate to work through December, or into next year.

Job Details:

• Full-time option available, starting immediately.
• Starting pay is $20.76 per hour plus TIPS.
• Opportunity to make an additional $6-$20 an hour in tips!

Requirements:

• A positive attitude is an absolute requirement for this job. The fun and support that comes with a strong team is essential for all of us working here!
• Excellent communications skills, working with customers one-on-one and with crowds.
• A sense of humor and an ability to banter with customers. Our trademark is to make a relationship with our customers – even for a moment. We care about their experience as visitors to our market, and this helps to bring in good sales!
• Physical stamina to stand and move around our pasta stand for 4-8 hour shifts, and to work in all types of weather. We are open rain, shine or snow!
• A desire to learn about effective retail strategies, and to grow in this role.

Bonus Traits:

• Interest in gourmet foods and cooking or baking. When we can talk with customers about how to use our products for delicious meals, they respond with interest and sales!
• Experience with retail.
• Bi or multilingual is a bonus to address our diverse customer base.
