Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a smooth dining experience. You will play a crucial role in managing guest flow, coordinating seating arrangements, and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for guest relations.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables.
- Manage the reservation system and maintain an organized waitlist.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and wait staff to ensure timely service.
- Assist guests with inquiries regarding menu items, special requests, and accommodations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station.
- Handle phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations as needed.
- Support the restaurant team in delivering outstanding guest experiences through excellent customer service.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest relations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of food service operations is beneficial.
