Description
We are currently seeking a passionate part-time Computer Science, Robotics, & Engineering Professor at the Middle and High School Medical Academy. The Professor will be responsible for teaching robotics, programming, coding, 3D printing, data analytical skills, process automation, communication, and software development. The role is based in Boston, MA.
The current role will run during BPS Spring Break in April 2025 with the opportunity for extending employment to the summer and academic year as a full-time position.
General Description :
The teacher will work directly with middle and high school students in Boston, MA, to introduce them to fundamental concepts in coding, programming, engineering, and robotic website, game design and 3D printing. This position requires the teacher to lead engaging, hands-on lessons and activities, and support students in their academic and personal growth.
The program will run for a week during the BPS' Spring 2025 Break from 9 : 00 AM to 3 : 00 PM in our Interactive Simulation Lab, with additional time required for pre-program curriculum development and collaboration with other teaching staff.
Type : Part-Time, Temporary, Seasonal, Full-Time and must be able to commute to Boston
Responsibilities
- Curriculum Development : Collaborate with TPI staff to develop an engaging curriculum focused on health sciences, tailored to middle school students.
- Teaching & Lesson Delivery : Lead interactive lessons, demonstrations, and group activities that help students understand key health science concepts.
- Student Engagement : Foster a positive learning environment and encourage students to participate actively in all aspects of the program.
- Assessment & Feedback : Develop assessments to measure student understanding, provide constructive feedback, and track progress.
- Collaboration : Work alongside other teachers and TPI staff to support the overall success of the program.
- Program Logistics : Help set up and maintain materials for each session, and ensure all necessary supplies are ready for use.
- Communication with Families : Build and maintain positive relationships with students and their families, providing updates on student progress.
