Activity Director Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and implement engaging individual and group activities tailored to residents’ interests and needs.
• Lead activities such as arts and crafts, games, music therapy, physical exercises, and outings.
• Foster a warm and supportive environment where residents feel encouraged to participate and socialize.
• Develop monthly activity calendars and ensure they are communicated to residents, families, and staff.
• Monitor residents’ participation, progress, and well-being, providing reports to the interdisciplinary care team.
• Work with family members and staff to identify new activity ideas and ensure residents’ preferences are considered.
• Ensure all activities comply with state and federal regulations, and maintain documentation as required.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement to residents during activities.

• High school diploma or equivalent; experience in a healthcare or social setting is preferred.
• Prior experience in activity planning and implementation, especially in a long-term care facility, is a plus.
• For Activity Director role: Certification in Activity Programming (CALA, NCCAP, or similar) preferred.
• Compassionate, friendly, and enthusiastic demeanor.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
