Housekeeper Responsibilities:

• Clean and disinfect resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms, and hallways.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Change bed linens and ensure that residents' rooms are tidy and organized.
• Clean windows, walls, and light fixtures to maintain a clean and pleasant environment.
• Dispose of trash and recyclables properly and ensure that all waste areas are clean.
• Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are properly stored and in good condition.
• Follow infection control policies and safety protocols to prevent the spread of germs.
• Assist with special cleaning projects as directed by the supervisor.
• Report any maintenance needs or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting.
• Ability to lift, bend, and carry items as necessary.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable.
• Knowledge of infection control standards and safe cleaning practices.
