Activity Director Responsibilities :

  • Plan, develop, and implement a variety of recreational and therapeutic activities for residents
  • Create individualized activity plans based on resident interests and abilities
  • Coordinate group activities that encourage socialization, physical exercise, and cognitive stimulation
  • Lead and assist in activities such as arts and crafts, games, music sessions, outings, and holiday events
  • Work closely with other staff members to ensure activities align with residents' care plans
  • Document and report residents’ participation and progress in activities
  • Maintain inventory of activity supplies and ensure proper use and organization
  • Foster a warm, inclusive environment that promotes resident engagement and well-being

    • Activity Director  Qualifications :

  • Certification as an Activity Director (preferred but not required)
  • Experience in a long-term care or healthcare setting preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Creative and enthusiastic, with the ability to engage and motivate residents
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A genuine passion for improving the quality of life for seniors
