Housekeeping Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead the housekeeping team, ensuring cleaning tasks are completed to the highest standards.
- Train and mentor housekeeping staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and infection control practices.
- Perform regular inspections of resident rooms, common areas, and facility spaces to ensure cleanliness and sanitation.
- Maintain cleaning supply inventory and manage the ordering of supplies as needed.
- Ensure all housekeeping staff follow safety and infection control procedures, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Address any resident or family concerns related to housekeeping services in a professional and timely manner.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure the smooth operation of the facility.
- Previous experience in a housekeeping supervisory role, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, infection control, and safety standards.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful toward residents and staff.
- High school diploma or equivalent (additional education or certifications a plus).
