Responsibilities:
Provides individual therapy according to treatment plan.
Provides group counseling sessions.
Assures coverage of scheduled activities such as educational and therapeutic groups.
Coordinates the development of a therapeutic milieu through an honest, supportive and structured atmosphere.
Keeps informed of community treatment resources from referrals to and from the program for patients and their families as evidenced by listing service for mental health, group home, assistance programs, 12-step programs and DCFS.
Participates in program planning (recommends curriculum, program changes, etc) with other staff and supervisor.
Develops referral resources and maintains regular contact.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in the human services field (counseling, psychology, social work).
Other knowledge/skills: Ability to work successfully as a member of an interdisciplinary health care team and the ability to function independently when needed.
