What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeper / Housekeeping Aide position at The Pavilion Senior Living (SNF)?
Purpose of this position
The purpose of this position is to implement facility housekeeping procedures in an efficient, cost-effective manner to safely meet residents’ needs in compliance with federal, state and local requirements.
Qualifications
- Must have current license. (if applicable)
- License must be free of any encumbrances. (if applicable)
- Must not have any disqualifying findings barring employment as stated by State or Federal regulations.
Delegation of authority
- Follow housekeeping procedures to meet residents’ needs in compliance with federal, state and local requirements
- Participate in the monitoring system for the housekeeping department
- Notify supervisor when supplies are needed
- Notify supervisor when equipment in need of repair
Primary Functions and Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning procedures in accordance with facility policy.
- Follow material safety data sheets (MSDS).
- Operate housekeeping equipment safely.
- Use housekeeping supplies efficiently.
- Attend in-service training programs for housekeeping employees.
- Observe waste disposal procedures in accordance with facility policy; follow directions.
- Observe infection control procedures related to Housekeeping Department.
