Created 36 years ago, the PCA Group of Companies (PCA) is a privately-owned, global beauty holding company. Currently being led by the founders and the next generation of the family, the Group spans ~1500 employees in 5 geographic locations around the world, focused on omnichannel distribution and fulfillment for the beauty category. Multiple subsidiaries with a distinct leadership, business direction, and separate financial structure.
Role Summary:
An operations associate is responsible for performing administrative tasks that support the organizations daily operations. Operations associates are required to have excellent organizational skills, respond to client inquiries and concerns, and prepare reports. In addition, this role requires strong communication with the warehouse team, who will be picking and packing the product.
This is an in-person position based in Melville, NY.
Working hours are 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday - Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide feedback on company procedures.
- Make recommendations for business performance improvement.
- Place inventory and supply orders as required.
- Documenting procedures and adding them to the companys educational platform.
- Respond to emails promptly with professionalism and attention to detail.
- Able to take detailed notes when in training and correctly apply what was learned in training to the role.
- Successfully communicate accurate and realistic order updates to sales and upper management.
- Provide the warehouse with clear and precise instructions when handing out orders and pick tickets.
- Take ownership of your accounts by managing, monitoring, and following up with the warehouse team to meet deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Bilingual Preferred (English & Spanish)
- Reliable transportation to and from the Melville office.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong sense of urgency required.
- High attention to detail.
- Proficient in technology, especially Microsoft Office applications.
- Proactive qualities with the willingness to learn.
- Ability to work well under pressure and with minimal supervision.
- EDI experience is a plus
- Associate or bachelors degree in business or similar preferred.
