Job Title: Lead Preschool Teacher and Program Manager
The Peace Rose Montessori School is seeking an experienced individual to manage our aftercare program, providing a high-quality educational experience for preschool-aged children.
This role requires effective communication, active listening, and teamwork skills to support staff in delivering a quality educational program. The ideal candidate will foster positive relationships with children and parents by modeling appropriate behaviors and encouraging self-help skills and good hygiene.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement age-appropriate activities and curricula for preschoolers, ensuring a daily routine and consistent schedule.
- Serve as a key communicator between daytime teachers, the director, and parents, bridging the gap between morning and afternoon activities.
- Observe and document children's interests and behaviors, communicating relevant information to parents, teachers, and the director.
- Create a safe, healthy, and welcoming environment, maintaining a clean and organized space.
- Notify the Program Director of accidents, illnesses, or incidents, keeping parents informed.
- Manage time-off requests for Aftercare teachers and keep the director updated on schedule changes.
Requirements:
- Strong classroom management skills.
- 2-3 years of experience working in a preschool classroom (ages 3-6).
- Excellent verbal and communication skills.
