Montessori Certified Preschool Teacher
This position offers an exciting opportunity to join our Montessori community as an assistant floating teacher, with the possibility of advancing to lead teacher in the 2025-2026 school year. Responsibilities:
- Implementing Montessori curriculum and materials for children aged 2.5-6.
- Creating a safe and nurturing environment that fosters children's independence, curiosity, and love of learning.
- Collaborating with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective educational experience.
Requirements:
- American Montessori Society (AMS) or Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) certification in Early Childhood Education, or other MACTE credentialed Montessori certification.
- At least one year of experience working in a Montessori classroom.
- A deep passion for working with young children and a commitment to their social, emotional, and academic growth.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with parents, teachers, and students.
- CPR/First Aid certification and physical ability to lift children and engage in active play.
Working Conditions:
The successful candidate will be required to work full-time during the 2024-2025 school year, with hours from 8:00am to 4:00pm. As a lead teacher, hours may vary and be part-time. Compensation is based on experience and education, with a competitive hourly rate ranging from $20.00 to $25.00.
