Job Description: Preschool After Care Program Coordinator and Lead Educator
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated professional to oversee our aftercare program at The Peace Rose Montessori School.
The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, enabling them to build strong relationships with children, parents, and staff members. This role requires effective leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills to ensure a smooth operation of the aftercare program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging activities and curricula for preschoolers, aligning with the school's educational philosophy.
- Maintain open lines of communication with daytime teachers, the director, and parents, ensuring seamless transitions between morning and afternoon activities.
- Monitor children's behavior and development, sharing relevant information with parents and staff members.
- Establish a safe, nurturing environment, promoting social, emotional, and cognitive growth among preschoolers.
- Respond promptly to incidents, accidents, or health issues, keeping parents and the Program Director informed.
- Coordinate time-off requests and scheduling changes for Aftercare staff, keeping the director updated.
Essential Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a preschool setting (ages 3-6).
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
