What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tour Team Lead position at The Peach Truck?

As a Tour Team Leader, you will have an incredible, on-the-road experience selling fresh peaches to thousands of eager customers over the course of 6-9 weeks throughout the summer. You will lead a team of 6-14 team members to successfully execute 2-3 stops per day—serving our customers with a friendly, positive attitude, working quickly and efficiently, and owning the task at hand. The Peach Truck Tour is an all-hands-on-deck tour requiring effective teamwork and the ability to remain energized in a fast-paced and high-stress environment. You are the face of The Peach Truck on the road!
Each of the two tours (including training) will fall within the following window of dates: Tour(s): May 1st - August 10th
What You’ll Do:
- Lead with Purpose: Set and execute sales goals, manage inventory, and inspire your team to deliver top-notch customer experiences.
- Champion Freshness: Ensure every peach and every setup meets our quality and safety standards.
- Own the Setup: Oversee the setup and teardown of each stop, including organizing tables, tents, and equipment (50 lbs), ensuring everything runs smoothly. Address stop needs (e.g., emergency situations, location issues, regulatory visits) and manage all aspects of location logistics, ensuring operational efficiency.
- Motivate and Mentor: Develop your team through training, clear communication, and by setting clear expectations.
- Create Connection: Lead by example, fostering a service culture that prioritizes the customer experience.
- Flex and Adapt: Tackle challenges head-on, from location issues to team dynamics, with a can-do attitude.
- Drive Success: Safely operate rental vehicles, handle setups, and ensure the smooth operation of stops.
- Innovate and Inspire: Encourage your team to stay updated on trends and products, enhancing customer engagement and satisfaction.
What You Bring:
- A sunny, welcoming attitude and a knack for connecting with people.
- The ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and work outdoors, rain or shine.
- A valid driver’s license, and a smartphone.Must be 21 years of age to join Tour.
- Comfortable with a flexible work schedule, including weekends (mandatory in-season, June - August).
- A track record of thriving in fast-paced environments and handling challenges like a pro.
- A passion for delivering joy and turning everyday moments into extraordinary experiences.
- This role is 100% travel for ten weeks.
Pay structure includes overtime and a per diem allowance for meals, all lodging will be paid for by The Peach Truck.
