LPN:
RESPONSIBILITIES (LPN):
- Complete accurate and timely administration of medications, treatments, documentation
- Complete/receive accurate shift report
- Complete timely rounds to check on the safety and security of residents
- Knowledge of the principles, methods, and standards of professional nursing
- Maintain appropriate communication with physicians and families regarding changes in residents condition.
- Order prescribed medications, supplies, and equipment as necessary, and in accordance with established facility policies.
- Respond to life saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol.
- Explains procedures and treatments to residents to gain trust and cooperation
- Maintain a good working rapport with inter-departmental personnel, as well as other departments within the facility
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS (LPN):
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as an LPN
- Maintain a current unencumbered license to practice in the state of Colorado
- One (1) year experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent
RN:
RESPONSIBILITIES & ATTRIBUTES (RN):
- Monitor patients condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and advice
- Observe and interpret patients symptoms and communicate them to physicians
- Collaborate with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patients
- Perform routine procedures (blood pressure measurements, administering injections etc.) and fill in patients charts
- Adjust and administer patients medication and provide treatments according to physicians orders
- Inspect the facilities and act to maintain excellent hygiene and safety (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, preparing beds etc.)
- Provide instant medical care in emergencies
- Supervise and train LPNs and nursing assistants
- Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families
- Expand knowledge and capabilities by attending educational workshops, conferences etc.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS (RN):
- Valid and active state-issued Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university required.
- 1-years Experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent
