The Peddie School is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Enrollment Management to join its senior leadership team in the summer of 2025. This visionary leader will be responsible for driving the school's student recruitment, enrollment and re-enrollment strategies, with a focus on attracting highly motivated and engaged students from diverse backgrounds and locations.
The Director of Enrollment Management will play a pivotal role in advancing Peddie's mission by overseeing all aspects of the school's enrollment process, including recruitment, enrollment and administering financial aid. The Director will collaborate with the Head of School, faculty, coaches, staff and the Board of Trustees to refine and implement a forward-thinking enrollment strategy that supports Peddie's commitment to a diverse and inclusive student body; they will ensure that Peddie continues to attract and enroll students who demonstrate the highest degrees of excitement, curiosity and character with an eagerness to contribute the vibrant school community.
Responsibilities:
- Report directly to the Head of School and serve on the senior leadership team.
- Supervise and manage the admission office personnel, including both admission officers and support staff, to execute the admission, enrollment and re-enrollment process to maintain a student body of the size and nature identified by the mission, philosophy and program objectives of the school.
- Monitor the operation of the office and remain aware of the current thinking in the secondary school community to ensure the best use of technology, data research and analysis and feedback from all constituencies.
- Manage the admission office budget and consult with the Assistant Head for Finance and Operations in developing the proposed financial assistance budget for the coming year.
- Participate in setting comprehensive fee rates for the coming year.
- Determine the membership of the Admission and Financial Aid Committees and serve as chair.
- Collaborate with the Director of Strategic Marketing and Communications regularly to ensure admissions' needs in those areas are being met.
- Ensure admission officers conduct adequate travel and outreach for student recruitment as well as provide opportunities for professional development on the part of the admission officers.
- Design and manage the evaluation process of all applicants for admission and how admissions decisions will be communicated to families.
- Oversee the allocation of the financial aid budget to enroll and re-enroll students at Peddie using both need-based aid and non-need based aid as those budgets and institutional priorities dictate.
- Manager the merit scholarship programs (Potter, Annenberg, Armellino) as distinct from the need-based financial aid program.
- Evaluate the performance of the entire admission office staff.
- As a residential faculty member, perform evening and weekend supervisory duties.
This is a twelve-month, full-time position, Monday through Saturday while school is in session; some work will be required during school holidays. Occasional teaching/coaching will be allowed as determined by the Head of School.
