What are the responsibilities and job description for the Therapy Technician position at The Pediatrics and Autism Center?
Duties:
- Assist physical /occupationaltherapists in providing patient care and treatment
- Set up equipment and prepare treatment areas for therapy sessions
- Escort patients to and from therapy sessions
- Monitor patients during therapy sessions and report any changes or concerns to the physical therapist
- Perform administrative tasks such as maintaining patient records
- Clean and maintain therapy equipment, treatment areas, and facilities
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a healthcare setting preferred but is not required
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
This position requires a high level of patient service and interaction. The physical/occupational therapy aide will work closely with patients to ensure their comfort and safety during therapy sessions. Strong communication skills are essential for effectively assisting the physical therapist and providing support to patients.
