The Peers Project makes podcasts for the world’s biggest tech brands like Shopify, Indeed.com & Alibaba and greatest VCs who are championing change. Born in Australia, we are a remote-first boutique agency with global operations headquartered in New York. We have recently expanded to the US and launched our “Podcasting For VCs” offering and are on the hunt for a part-time Tech/VC Junior Podcast Producer for an immediate start.
Who Are We Looking For?
If you’re driven, can get sh*t done, are a gun at project and client management, and want to get your hands dirty working directly with our tech/VC clients on the creation of their podcasts, then this role is for you:
We’re looking for someone who thrives off:
- Troubleshooting and problem solving on the daily – ensuring that you proactively come up with solutions for clients as you manage their account
- Building and nurturing relationships with clients – being the main point of contact for East and West coast tech/VC clients
- Project managing end-to-end to ensure that client podcasts are executed and delivered on time, on budget and as efficiently as possible
- Bringing the energy on Production Days (whether virtual or in-studio) and hyping up the client – being their cheerleader & guide – to ensure they have the best time recording their podcast
- Working collaboratively & autonomously across timezones – given that our team is based all over the world (in Australia, Philippines, Sri Lanka and US)
What Does The Role Entail?
The role is broken down into:
- Project & Account Management
- Creative & Production Management
1. Project & Account Management:
- You’ll be the main point of contact for tech/VC clients and be responsible for all client communications; building strong client relationships and ensuring that clients are happy with their podcast experience
- Manage the end-to-end process of creating a branded podcast; collaborating directly with our global remote team
2. Creative & Production Management:
- Manage and attend in-studio / on-location production days where required (some travel may be required)
- Run online podcast production days and understand how to do basic audio tech troubleshooting
- Crafting podcast episode briefs & show notes – researching guests and developing a strong line of questioning based on the podcast creative concept & topic/theme
- Conduct effective outreach to book podcast guests – pitching the podcast, sending outreach emails, running briefing calls with guests & ensuring the are properly briefed for their upcoming podcast
- Run weekly client meetings – updating the client on upcoming deliverables, timelines, creative execution & release schedule
Job Structure:
Our remote global team is made up of highly experienced creative freelancers and VAs to support project management with the majority of our team based abroad.
- You would be our second US team member and would be supported by our offshore full-time VA/Project Coordinator
- You would need to be available 4 days per week for a few hours daily – monitoring emails, project management, taking client meetings. On Production Days, you would need to be available to attend and manage the full day remotely or in-studio.
- You would also need to be available for evening calls with the team in Australia/offshore.
Job Details & Requirements:
- 2 years of relevant experience
- Part-time contract position commencing immediately – with the opportunity to turn into a full-time permanent position within 6-12 months
- Position is remote
- Ability to travel and attend podcast production days in New York, LA and beyond where required
- Salary: $30 per hour, starting with 15-20 hours per week
