We’re seeking a skilled and experienced estate planning drafting paralegal with a minimum of 2 years of drafting experience in a law office environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and oral communication and organizational skills and be able to work independently. Compensation: $47,000 - $65,000 depending on experience, knowledge and technical abilities. Trial period will be required.

Responsibilities:- Draft estate planning documents to include wills, powers of attorney, revocable and irrevocable trusts, and various types of agreements as well as client correspondence.
- Draft documents necessary to facilitate trust funding and assist clients with trust funding questions and issues.
- Performs basic legal research.
- Communicate with clients.
- Maintain drafting statistics and suspense system.
- Maintain estate planning client files.
- Update and maintain estate planning templates, forms, checklists, and letters.
- Respond to general client inquiries regarding non-legal matter
Qualifications:
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines with quick turnaround times
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; associate’s degree is a plus
- Must have worked as an estate and trust drafting paralegal in a law firm for a minimum of 2 years.
- Good typing skills and proficiency with MS Office products and HotDocs. Knowledge of TABS3/PracticeMaster preferable but not required.
- Should have a general knowledge of the Virginia Uniform Trust Code.
- Must be able to work independently as well as with others.
- Must have excellent time-management, communication, and organizational skills.
- Must be a strong writer with excellent spelling, grammar, and punctuation skills.
- Must be a detail person.
