JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Center for Global Engineering Engagement (GEE) is seeking a graduate student worker to assist with the Global Engineering Fellows Program and support various activities within the Center. The role is ideal for a graduate student with an interest in study abroad, international education, and intercultural engagement. The position will offer experience in event coordination, program support, and general administrative tasks.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in scheduling and coordinating meetings and events for the Global Engineering Fellows Program
- Help prepare materials and logistical support for events and activities
- Support the development and distribution of promotional materials related to study abroad opportunities for engineering students
- Assist with administrative tasks related to the Global Engineering Fellows Program, including maintaining records and communication with participants
- Provide general support for GEE programs, including assisting with research or preparing content for internal projects
- Attend occasional evening meetings with Global Engineering Fellows, as needed
Qualifications:
- Current graduate student at Penn State
- Interest in study abroad, international education, and intercultural learning
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and social media platforms
- Ability to work up to 20 hours per week, with some evening availability for program-related activities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with study abroad programs or international education
- Prior involvement in event planning or academic support
