JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at the Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, PA is hiring a Human Research Technologist, Advanced Professional for a new research study, funded by the National Institute of Mental Health, examining mental health problems in youth. This position will work with Dr. Dara Babinski to supervise a team of research technologists in order to successfully meet study goals (https://sites.psu.edu/abcresearchprogram). Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills are required for this position. Opportunities for career development are available and encouraged.
Duties include:
- Overseeing regulatory compliance issues such as tracking and recording protocol-specific certifications and procedure certifications such as Human Subject Protection and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Institutional Review Board approvals.
- Hiring, training, and supervising support staff; assigning work and evaluating staff performance
- Leading participant recruitment and retention efforts
- Scheduling and coordinating study visits and training sessions.
- Performing data collection and management, ensuring compliance with data integrity standards
- Assisting in writing reports and scientific papers for publication and academic presentations
- Tracking study progress and trouble-shooting problems that may arise.

The pay range for this position, including all possible grades is:
$46,400.00 - $67,300.00Salary Structure - additional information on Penn State's job and salary structure.
