JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Penn State Altoona invites applications for part-time Adjunct Instructor openings in the Business program at our campus for the 2024 - 2025 Academic Year.
Job Duties- Adjunct instructors normally teach one to two sections of Business courses per semester
- Part-time instructors typically plan and teach one to two courses per semester on campus in the following areas: Corporate Finance, Management Information Systems, and Supply Chain Management.
- Successful candidates must be able to work effectively with diverse populations and audiences.
- Follow best practices for teaching.
- Hold at least one office hour per three credits taught.
- Grade student work.
- Submit student progress reports throughout the semester.
- Respond to administration and student emails.
- Effectively use the Penn State learning management system (Canvas).
- Earned master's or PhD degree in business related field, or in an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- College-level teaching experience is strongly preferred.
