JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Penn State Behrend is currently looking for a Fitness Instructor who will run and supervise various fitness and health programs.
The classes offered are, but not limited to: Spin, Step, Yoga, Meditation, HIIT, Zumba, etc.
You will assess the physical and health conditions of student, faculty and staff of Penn State Behrend, create appropriate exercise plans, and monitor their improvement. You will also explain applicable safety rules and regulations (e.g. use of equipment).
Ultimately, you will help our Behrend Community have fun and improve their health through exercise.
ResponsibilitiesOversee completion of exercise routines
Modify exercise plans based on needs, potential injuries or health issues
Conduct individual and group fitness training sessions
Oversee the use of fitness equipment to ensure exercise is done properly and safely
Handle nutrition and health-related questions
Refer to and promote fitness packages and plans
Follow safety and hygiene guidelines
