JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Penn State Berks is accepting applications for a Part Time Student Life Van Driver.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate vehicle to transport passengers
- Perform general housekeeping duties to keep vehicles clean and habitable on the inside; clean windshield and rear-view mirror(s) as needed
- Read and record odometer readings
- Check general operation of vehicles, such as:
- Fuel levels, tire pressure, Headlights and turn signals, doors, windshield wipers and horn
- Provide customer service to passengers, such as greeting, providing direction, and loading/unloading bags as needed; with or without accommodations
- Verify attendance of those travelling in vehicles
- Document last minute passenger changes
Locations for travel may include, but not are limited to:
- Public transportation pick-up and drop-off (Philadelphia bus/train station, Philadlephia/Harrisburg/BWI/State College Airports)
- Local travel to shopping and entertainment venues
- Out of state travel for special trips/engagement opportunities
- May include 1 to 14 passengers at any given time
Communicate with Student Life Office related to:
- Vehicle maintenance
- Passenger lists
- Picking up and returning keys, mileage sheet, and passenger list
This job requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid US
driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required
in addition to standard background checks.
This job requires the following 3 publicly available clearances:
* PA State Police Criminal Background Check
* PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form
* FBI Criminal Background Check
