JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-line, professional track teaching faculty position in structural engineering. The successful candidate will teach courses pertaining to structural engineering and related geotechnical engineering topics. The successful candidate will also contribute to the CEE department through service, such as advising student organizations and serving on department committees.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have design-related experience and hold a master's or doctoral degree in civil engineering or a closely related field. In addition, candidates should be licensed or candidates for licensure as a professional engineer (P.E.) and have demonstrated teaching experience through academic courses, professional conference presentations, or related activities.

Appointment would be at the appropriate faculty rank of Assistant Teaching Professor, Associate Teaching Professor, or Teaching Professor. Rank and length of term will be determined based on education and experience. The vision of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at Penn State is to achieve the highest quality of life for all, through sustainable and resilient civil infrastructure systems.
