The PENTA Building Group is searching for Project Engineers to join our team in Los Angeles County & Orange County !
A PENTA Project Engineer is primarily accountable for coordinating and communicating information / documentation to the Project Manager and Superintendent as required.
To perform this role successfully, the ideal candidate will :
- Maintain and distribute project documents including drawings, specifications, correspondence, meeting minutes, and progress photographs.
- Thoroughly review contract documents, submittals, and shop drawings and ensure coordination / conflict resolution among various scopes of work.
- Review, prepare, and maintain Requests for Information and logs.
- Review construction schedule, prepare submittal logs / procurement logs, identify critical path submittal / procurement items, and track and maintain submittal approvals and material procurement / delivery.
- Perform safety inspections and assist with safety training and education.
- Perform site measurements.
- Monitor construction activities.
- Possess an intermediate knowledge of construction methods and techniques.
- Assist in preparing daily reports.
- Assist in evaluating work progress.
- Perform quantity take offs and prepare estimates.
- Price, issue, and track potential change orders.
- Review drawing revisions, RFIs, and submittal comments and coordinate changes on a timely basis for schedule and cost impact.
- Participate in work package bids, perform scope analysis, and assist in issuing subcontracts.
- Coordinate with subcontractors for all inspections and documents required for inspection.
- Track, resolve, and close NCRs on a timely basis.
- Help manage the project budget and help with project cost control and forecasting.
- Help coordinate the project schedule with the Superintendent.
- Help process subcontractor pay requests.
- Prepare and lead project close out process, including Owner training, O&Ms, as-builts, permits, etc.
- Manage and track punch list completion with the Superintendent.
- Maintain current contract documents and provide Owner with complete closeout and as-built documents.

The PENTA Building Group maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs, and market demands. The pay range may differ in other locations. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors and is in good faith and / or offer for this position. The Company reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, or federal law.
Salary : $65,000 - $85,000
