The VP Operations will be responsible for leading the production, logistics, planning, engineering and quality departments - through a team of Managers, the VP Operations will direct, lead, motivate, train and develop the staff to achieve the highest levels of operational excellence.
Key responsibilities to the role will include:
- Strategic planning and execution to enhance profitability, productivity and efficiency throughout the company’s operations
- Introduce improvements in relation to productivity, quality and effective utilization of man-hours
- Develop models and business metrics in coordination with functional leaders to identify key risks and meaningful opportunities for improvement
- Develop budgets or approve expenditures for supplies, materials, or human resources, ensuring that materials, labor, or equipment are used efficiently to meet production targets.
Experience required
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business/Engineering/Food Science or a related discipline.
- 10 years of progressive operations management experience in the food manufacturing industry
- Strong knowledge of pertinent standards, including HACCP, SOPs, GMPs, and FDA.
