Our client is looking for an EHS&S Specialist to help ensure that our workplace is safe, environmentally responsible, and compliant with all regulations. You'll collaborate with different teams to maintain safety programs, minimize risks, and promote sustainability. Key Responsibilities
- Stay Informed on Regulations : Keep up with local, state, and national health, safety, and environmental regulations to ensure we're always in compliance.
- Maintain Safety Systems : Help manage our internal safety systems and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Conduct Safety Audits : Perform safety audits and inspections, ensuring that any issues are quickly addressed and resolved.
- Investigate Incidents : Look into incidents and near misses to determine causes and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Train Employees : Provide training and resources to employees on safety best practices, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate Across Teams : Work with internal departments and third-party contractors to maintain a strong safety culture.
- Analyze Data : Collect and analyze safety and sustainability data to spot trends, identify issues, and find areas for improvement.
- Waste Management : Track and manage waste disposal activities and contribute to our Zero Waste to Landfill initiative.
What You'll Be Accountable For
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of EPA, OSHA, and DOT regulations.
