Our client is seeking a Sr Project Controls Engineer to join their team! This is a direct hire position with a competitive salary of $120K (DOE) . As a Project Controls Engineer, you will be at the forefront of driving efficiency and innovation, designing, installing, maintaining, and optimizing site process automation systems. You'll serve as a critical technical resource in advancing plant performance, ensuring improvements in capacity, cost, quality, and environmental sustainability through process control techniques.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design and Development : Create industrial control system solutions including Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), and Human-Machine Interface (HMI) programs to address operational needs.
• Automation Optimization : Lead efforts to enhance plant controls, improving cost-effectiveness, production capacity, and plant performance.
• Cybersecurity & Compliance : Ensure security for Operational Technology (OT) devices, and support the implementation of secure automation solutions.
• Continuous Improvement : Identify and implement process improvements that result in higher throughput, improved efficiency, cost savings, and better product quality.
• Collaboration & Leadership : Work closely with operations, engineering teams, and external contractors, providing guidance on troubleshooting, upgrades, and new projects.
• Project Management : Oversee DCS / PLC equipment installation, commissioning, and maintenance for capital or maintenance projects.
• Safety & Compliance : Provide support for process safety, including Process Hazard Assessments (PHA) and Management of Change (MOC).
