Job Summary
The People Placers is seeking a highly skilled Consumer Goods Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive business growth and expansion.
As a Consumer Goods Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of sales professionals, developing and executing strategic sales plans, and identifying and securing new business opportunities within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand market presence and penetrate new accounts.
- Manage a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, support, and coaching to ensure they meet their sales targets and provide exceptional customer service.
- Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities within the CPG sector.
- Build strong relationships with prospective clients, understanding their needs and presenting tailored solutions to align with company offerings.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure seamless onboarding and client satisfaction.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market opportunities to inform sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 5-15 years of sales experience in the CPG industry, including management experience.
- Proven track record as a 'sales hunter' with demonstrated success in driving new business and achieving sales targets.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills with the ability to build long-term partnerships.
- Highly motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Ability to analyze market trends and data to identify new opportunities and develop strategies.
- Familiarity with CRM tools and sales tracking software to manage leads, track performance, and report results.
