As a Collector at our credit union, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial stability of our institution by effectively managing delinquent accounts and facilitating the collection of outstanding debts. Your primary responsibility will be to communicate with members who are behind on their loan payments or other obligations and work collaboratively with them to establish suitable repayment SOLUTIONS, while adhering to applicable regulations and guidelines. TPFCU Collectors consistently display behaviors aligned with TPFCU values and service standards for internal and external customers, members, and guests.
Each day you will:
- Contact members via phone, email, and written correspondence to discuss overdue payments, delinquencies, and repayment options.
- Coordinate with third part vendors in securing credit union properties (repossessions) with accuracy and within a timely manner.
- Build positive relationships with members by demonstrating understanding, empathy, and a commitment to helping them resolve their financial difficulties.
- Maintain accurate records of all communication with members, including promises to pay, agreements, and any changes to repayment plans.
Experience in financial institution collections is preferred.
