We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Dog Daycare Attendant.
Job Summary:
The Dog Daycare Attendant is responsible for the daily care and supervision of dogs in our daycare program. This includes ensuring the safety and well-being of all dogs, maintaining a clean and organized play area, and providing excellent customer service. This role requires a genuine love for dogs, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and monitor dogs in playgroups, ensuring safe and appropriate behavior.
- Manage dog play, intervening to prevent aggression or overstimulation.
- Understand dog body language and recognize signs of stress, illness, or discomfort.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary daycare environment, including cleaning up after dogs promptly and thoroughly.
- Sanitize play areas, kennels, and other areas as needed.
- Feed and water dogs according to their individual needs and instructions.
- Administer medications as directed (training provided).
- Greet customers and provide friendly and professional service.
- Assist with check-in and check-out procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of dog behavior, health, and activities.
- Report any concerns about dog health or behavior to the supervisor.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Genuine love for dogs and a passion for their well-being.
- Experience working with dogs in a professional setting (preferred but not required).
- Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and breeds.
- Excellent observation skills and the ability to recognize dog behavior cues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to multitask and handle a fast-paced environment.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
