Duties

• Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs and other pets.
• Utilize proper animal restraint techniques to ensure the safety of both the pet and the groomer during grooming sessions.
• Handle pets with care, demonstrating strong animal handling skills to create a calm environment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets' needs and grooming options.
• Assist in educating pet owners on proper pet care and maintenance between grooming appointments.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations within the grooming facility.

Requirements

• Proven experience in pet grooming or related fields such as veterinary assistance or dog training is preferred.
• Strong skills in animal restraint and handling to ensure safe interactions with pets during grooming.
• Ability to lift heavy animals as needed, demonstrating physical strength and stamina.
• Excellent customer service skills to foster positive relationships with pet owners.
• Knowledge of animal care practices, including breed-specific grooming techniques.
• A passion for working with animals and providing high-quality care is essential.
• Certification in pet grooming or related fields is a plus but not mandatory.
