Kennel Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. As a Kennel Technician, you will play a vital role in the daily operations of our facility, ensuring the well-being of the animals in our care.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, bathing, and exercising pets.
• Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment.
• Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to staff.
• Perform basic grooming tasks to keep pets looking their best.
• Handle heavy lifting when moving animals or cleaning supplies.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure all animals receive proper care and attention.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in pet care, animal handling, or vet settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of animal behavior and basic vet practices is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with animal care.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
• Compassionate attitude towards animals and commitment to their welfare.
• Certification as a Veterinary Technician or experience as a Veterinary Assistant is an advantage but not required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.50 - $15.50 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
