This position can be easily summarized as a Selling Manager. The main objective of this role is to successfully manage and grow a regional fleet of full service lease & rental vehicles throughout our Southeast territory. Through persistence and decication, this role will focus on not only growing our customer base through constant contact with prospects and customers, but also a deep attention to customer service by putting the needs of our clients as a top priority. This position will utilize operational knowledge to handle a variety of recurring tasks and foster process improvement.
Responsibilities
- Lease & Rental Sales; manage existing relationships through ongoing contact as well as continue to prospect for new customers through email, cold calls, knocks, and social media
- Utilize technology such as RigDig, FleetSeek, LinkedIn, etc to discover and connect with potential new customers
- Keep an organized schedule to separate time for visiting with current customers, exploring new ones, and handling operational duties
- Spec trucks in SmartSpec tool with resale and customer application as a priority; prepare accurate and complete deals in SalesSuite tool
- Travel to each location within region to maintain relationships with service personnel and local customers to grow the business in that market
- Demonstrate general financial knowledge by analyzing the financial statement to identify key areas of improvement
- Monthly Lease & Rental Billing, including obtaining monthly mileages from lease customers and/or utilizing SmartLinq for vehicle info & mileage
- Handle all aspects of rental department including creating contracts, assisting with credit and insurance, and communicating with the service advisor teams regarding all pending rental transactions
- Communicate with local service team for repairs & maintenance; work hand in hand with local service manager, referring all customers to contact their respective service advisors and service managers in time of breakdown
- Assist with lease & rental breakdowns and notify local service advisors of any incoming units to facilitate repairs
- Daily monitoring of Decisiv/PSSM fleet management software. Be sure to know status of every truck at any given time, follow up with service as needed for updates; go above and beyond to ensure our fleet is being taken care of in a timely manner
- Work with PacLease Fleet Service Manager for any cases that require additional attention
- Prepare and deliver new trucks for lease and rental sales including obtaining up to date insurance, securing tag & titlework, and any other pre-delivery task
- Assist with various administrative tasks such as fuel tax reporting, licensing rebills, DOT compliance, etc.

- Two to four year’s related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in situations.
